Top 10 web designing tools for an android devise

AndFTP

AndFTP is an FTP client app that allows you to transfer files to your web server via not only FTP, but also via SFTP, SCP and FTPS protocols. You can set up several different FTP servers using AndFTP, and it also comes with a device file browser and a FTP file browser (which means you can see the files both on your Android device as well as the remote server). Like a typical FTP client, you are able to rename, delete, copy, set permissions and create folders.

JavaScript Reference

The JavaScript Reference app is the only reference app I have mentioned here, not because there aren't reference apps and cheat sheets for other web development languages (there are HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and many other cheat sheets apps available), but because this one is derived from the W3CSchool's own documentation, and uses a clean, easy-to-use interface.
Image 2
Properties and methods of each object are detailed, along with examples for each. This is a great resource, and covers all built-in JavaScript objects, browser objects and HTML DOM objects.

kWS - Android Web Server

The kWS - Android Web Server is a very basic web server that runs on your Android device. It isn't a surprise that a web server can run on an Android device--after all, Android is based on the Linux operating system. What is surprising is that it is so very lightweight and fast that if you are loading pages from it through your local wifi network, you won't be able to notice a difference from any other web server that you access.
Image 3
The kWS web server implements HTTP-1.0 and is capable of hosting most file types, and works like a typical web server. You won't be likely to be running your website off of this server permenantly, but for testing out a page, it comes in very handy.

Analytix for Google Analytics

If you are used to working with Google Analytics (GA) for your website, you will be very likely to want to install and use the Analytix app. It provides you with access to most of the details from your Google Analytics account--almost in real time. It provides hourly views and clean visualizations, which comes in very handy for SEO work.
Figure 4
There are other GA apps out there for Android, but in my opinion, Analytix is the only one worth installing and working with.

View Web Source

Although it may seem that being able to view the source of a web page is something common to all web browsers, once you are using an Android device and the stock Android browser (and even other browsers on an Android device), you quickly realize that "View Source" is not a standard function on Android devices. Enter the View Web Source app, which works just as you would expect.
Figure 5
All you have to do is to enter a URL, then you are presented with the page's source code, which you can then copy to your device's clipboard for use later.

WordPress for Android

If you are a typical developer, you have probably worked with at least one of the top open source content management systems (CMSes). I looked for Android apps which would allow me to work with each of them, and was able to find one or more apps for each CMS. We'll start with the WordPress for Android app.
WordPress
WordPress for Android is, like WordPress itself, an open source app that allows you to create new posts, edit content, view stats and manage comments--and it comes with built-in notifications, so you're kept up to date as you work.

Drupal Editor

Having a Drupal site myself, I definitely wanted to check out the Drupal Editor app.
Drupal
Like the other CMS apps, it allows you to create, post and edit articles on the site. The Blog API has to be enabled in order for the Drupal Editor app to work, but if you run a Drupal website, this is a simple tasks.

Joooid 1.1 Joomla! Editor

Since I also have several Joomla! websites, I was eager to try out the Joooid 1.1 Editor app. It allows you to publish articles that include HTML text, images, galleries and maps which include the GPS-determined position where the article was published.
Like the others, I installed the Joooid 1.1 app to my tablet, installed the plug-in which went with it on my Joomla! website, and tried it out. Nada--several error messages later and some Google searching and I found out that the version of Joomla! I was running (version 1.6), was not compatible with Jooid 1.1, but that Joooid 1.2 beta would indeed do the job.
Joomla
I downloaded and installed the beta plugin and Joooid 1.2 beta Joomla! Editor, following the installation instructions on their website, and within 10 minutes I was creating content and working with my Joomla! website--through my Android device.

Webmaster's HTML Editor Lite

Sure, Android devices come with a rudamentary text editor, but it's not really made with the intention of people using it for editing web pages. That's where Webmaster's HTML Editor Litecomes to mind. It not only allows you to edit HTML, it also enables you to edit and work with CSS, PHP and JavaScript, and features syntax highlighting and code completion.

ConnectBot SSH Client

While you may not have a reason to use an SSH or telnet client often, when you need one, nothing else will do. I found the ConnectBot SSH Client app to be the full-featured SSH client I was looking for.
Connect Bot
ConnectBot is a Secure Shell client that allows you to connect to your web server, so you are able to transfer files back and forth, make edits and run commands on your remote web host, directly from your Android device.

AdSense Tips and Tricks, Maximize Your Efforts

Top 10 Ways to Make More Money From Google AdSense

We've worked with AdSense for years, on both internal and client projects, and wanted to share tips and tricks we've learned with both clients and fellow web designers.

The single best tip we can give for AdSense success is to always remember Google's motto: "Focus on the user and all else will follow". Translation: focus on the user experience and deliver golden content to them. Your AdSense success relies heavily on the quality content you deliver to your visitors.

Do

1) Only place one ad unit per page.
Let's say you owned 10 billboards on a property and that each billboard was in no greater location than the others. The cost to advertise on such property would be cheaper as there's not much competition in your way, nor is there a bidding war for prime placement. When you place only one ad unit per page, you're creating an exclusive spot for advertisers to own. They will engage in a bidding war for that spot, and your AdSense revenues will increase.

2) Place your ad unit as close to the top of the page as possible.
This is a general rule of thumb - keep your ad units above the fold, and preferably as close to the top of your page as possible. This will increase visibility and clicks.

3) Place your ad unit right under your h1 tag.
Google will do a better job matching the right ads with the right content if you pay attention to your h1 tags. Also ensure that your h1 tags are relevant to your title tags as well.

4) Only use one h1 tag on a page.
As a general SEO rule, but also to help Google do a better job of matching the right ads with the right content on your page. The better the ad/content match, the more likelihood of a visitor responding to your ads, and thus increasing your AdSense revenues.

5) Setup custom AdSense channels for your ads.
Advertisers can learn from your channels, and seek your website as their advertising venue if you utilize channels properly. Channels will also help you identify which ads are performing best. For example, everyone's read online that graphical leader-board ads work better than link units. As all websites are not created equal, how can you really tell? If you create 1 custom channel with a  graphical leader-board ad, and another with a text link unit ad, you can measure the results and see for yourself which perform better.

6) Block everyone in the AdNetwork but Google.
Our tests (performed over the course of 1 year) show that there's no added benefit to allowing all AdNetworks to bid for your ad space, in fact, they water-down your ads. It is our recommendation to block all AdNetworks and stick with Google AdWords (default) only.

7) Experiment and use whatever ad products you like.
In our experience, no single ad product performs better than another. The key here is to figure out which ad product works for your visitors. Setup custom channels and experiment with all types of ad products. You'll see for yourself which ad products your visitors are responding to.

8) Don't get too creative with the ad styles. Keep links blue, it's old-school.
Again, your own custom channels can test this theory, but it is our believe that visitors are more likely to ignore AdSense ads if they're blended into your website rendering them less-visible. Default creative (blue, black and green) ad styles have performed better in our experience. The idea here is that you don't want to hide or camouflage your ads, you want them to be visible. If you're trying too hard to hide your ads because you're concerned about them sticking out too much, you're forgetting that the ads can actually provide exactly what your visitors have come searching for.

9) Omit ads that don't fit.
For example, if you find ads for Hotel and Flight Bookings on your website which sells computers, block the advertiser URL within your AdSense "allow & block ads" page You can also use the "ad review centre" to block certain graphical ads from appearing on your website. Do your best to ensure content-relevant ads show up on your website, and you'll notice an increase in your CTR (click through rate).

10) Get into bed with Google
Use Webmaster Tools, AdWords and Analytics. Study them religiously, comb through reports, test variations in SEO, spot trends and watch for successful patterns to emerge. As not all websites are created equal, you must test, experiment and evaluate. Google's tools are useful and powerful, they'll help you find a winning formula.

Don't

Do not interrupt the users experience browsing your site by distracting them with gimmicks or pleads to click on your ads.

Do not litter your website with ads, it's ugly, and it's not rocket-science learning that it turns visitors off and disengages them.

Do not ignore Google's AdSense Programme Policies.

Do not lose sight of the user-experience.

Do not take SEO lightly. You need visitors to ensure your AdSense success.

Do not give up. Solving AdSense challenges and earning revenue takes time.

MAKING MONEY WITH ADSENSE – TIPS

Tip #1: Start now!
It’s as easy as falling off a log to generating revenue with Google AdSense. After you’re accepted to the program, just add a few lines of html code to your site (Google shows you how once you’re accepted) – and voila!
Within a few minutes, your site will begin displaying Adsense, and so you can start making money. Each day you wait means you don’t make the bucks you could. So start now.
Tip #2: Make content pages for your site – and put Adsense on them.
Assuming your page is a decent one, the more pages you have displaying Adsense, the more money you’ll earn. If you already have a website, display Adsense on more pages.
And always, always, always focus on making more great content pages. I suggest that you budget time each week for creating pages (and sites) on topics you love. You’ll find more on creating AdSense content pages in Tip
#8.
And it’s especially good if these content pages are very clearly focused. Then, Google will be able to serve highly relevant Adsense to your users. This means your visitors will be more interested in the ads, which results in higher click through rates — and more money for you!

Top 5 AdSense tips

AdSense Tip #1: Find your keywords
Before serving ads on a web page, check its keyword density. A free and advanced tool for finding the most prominent keywords in a page can be found here: SEO Density Analyzer. Copy the most important keywords to a text file ([web page name]-adsense-keywords.txt).

AdSense Tip #2: Improve your keywords
Get keyword suggestions from Overture Search Inventory and from Google AdWords Sandbox. Get new keywords that can help you improve your ad relevance. Enter the keywords from [web page name]-adsense-keywords.txt and save the suggestions to [web page name]-adsense-suggestions.txt.

AdSense Tip #3: Keep your website focused on a theme
Use the keyword suggestions to enhance your web pages and to build theme-based content. And also try to get your keywords into the anchor text of your incoming links as much as possible. Don't forget that Google AdSense is keyword-targeted advertising: Google AdSense bases its advert topics on your websites content, this means that content-rich websites of a popular topic should attract a large amount of ads.

AdSense Tip #4: Write a new page every day
One of the best tips is to add a new page to your web site every day. The more content you have, the more visitors you will get. Put an Adsense unit on each and every content page of your site. But where? You will find more about that from the next AdSense tips.

AdSense Tip #5: Choose the right AdSense format
Wider formats are successful because the ads are compact, easy to read and are complementary to the content. The top three AdSense formats are:
336x280 large rectangle
300x250 medium rectangle
160x600 wide skyscraper
Another successful format is the 468x15 horizontal ad links, that can be placed under your navigation bar.
